Of course, there were reports of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero getting an official rating for the Switch 2 console which suggested the game’s arrival on the Nintendo platform earlier this year. A tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation was also spotted by the Subreddit named Gaming Leaks and Rumours before it got promptly deleted, which clearly hinted at Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 at a later time this year.
“Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices,” the tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation stated before it got deleted back in May this year.
Of course now that the game has been officially announced to arrive on the handhelds, it’ll be interesting to see how they perform especially the Switch version compared to the other consoles considering there are still some framerate issues even on both PS5 and the Xbox Series X.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero came out on 7th October 2024 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform. The beat-em-up was released to generally positive reviews from the critics and quickly became a huge commercial success with over five million units sold worldwide. Boasting the largest roster ever seen in a Dragon Ball game, Sparking Zero is also set to get all the characters from the latest Dragon Ball Daima anime as part of it’s two DLCs which would boost it’s playability even further.
