Ninja Gaiden 4 is turning out as a huge blast from the past in the current generation of gaming where players will experience blisteringly fast and spectacular moment-to-moment combat that rewards quick thinking and reflex, which is a breath of fresh air in the cavalcade of the slower and methodical gameplay mold of the Soulslike titles that dominate the action genre today. And if you’ve played some of the earlier titles in the series, the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4 will make you feel right at home with all the familiar mechanics at your fingertips, along with a slew of new and devastating additions that we haven’t seen before.
But if you’re completely new to the series or even to the hack-n-slash genre in particular, the new hour-long leaked gameplay footage of Ninja Gaiden 4 that’s available on Youtube right now, will serve as an extended preview as you’ll witness everything the game will offer in terms of combat and platforming when it releases later this year. Also, the video can get taken down by Microsoft eventually, so do check it out as quickly as you can cause if nothing more, it still offers a spectacular glimpse at one of the greatest combat systems put together in gaming which is worth watching by itself.
The total gameplay footage is divided into 7 smaller parts and all of them are available in the same Youtube channel as provided in the above link, so if you like the first one, you can watch all of them in the same place.
And as the gameplay is from an earlier build of Ninja Gaiden 4, the final release is sure to provide better visuals as well as more consistent performance.
The fourth entry in the legendary hack-n-slash series, Ninja Gaiden 4 is currently scheduled to arrive on October 20 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. Developed in collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Platinum Games, Ninja Gaiden 4 will feature a whole new character named Yakumo, besides returning protagonist the iconic Ryu Hayabusa.
Both editions of the game, the $70 Standard Edition and the $90 Deluxe Edition are currently up for pre-order at multiple online retailers (including both Best Buy and Walmart) and pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4 (both physical and digital copies) will also unlock a special in-game costume named the Dark Dragon Descendant skin for Yakumo.
