Ubisoft claims that microtransactions make games better, and they also make them more fun to engage with. The CEO of Ubisoft is lying, and he is even reaching a breaking point where they are just throwing a hail mary into the air to see what sticks. He has been lying for years now about this “fact”, nobody likes paying more for pay walled content, nobody considers that fun. It is a disaster to see our industry going down the drain thanks to individuals like this, I wish the 90s were back and things were so much better for gaming. We at Infinite Start know what makes games fun.

Ubisoft claims that Microtransactions are needed in every game

Real games are single player driven, Ubisoft wants to bury that truth. They also don’t understand what Stop Killing Games is trying to accomplish, well, they know, but they are aware that if we win, they will have to start making good games. Once you start getting hooked to something, like these virtual drugs that are games as a service, the reality is that you can get hooked on the lowest quality of them. Microtransactions are addictive, they aren’t fun, Ubisoft claiming that they are is insane and downright malevolent.

We are very close to changing the gaming landscape forever, at least in Europe, we still have a fighting chance, a second life bar to be able to defeat this final boss. They are hanging on their last hit points, their revenue is at an all time low, Ubisoft is merely the tutorial boss for us. We gamers never fail at that, we will keep going further, felling all the other companies until they have to listen to us. If they won’t listen, they will have to be replaced by the massive indie game space, we don’t need them anymore.
