The upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will revolutionize the class of kart racing games with lots of customization and gadget features, as showcased by its new trailer. It will come out on September 25 across all the major platforms. The game is meant to focus on enabling players to personalize their race experience by controlling their car performance and appearance.
There will be nostalgic vehicles and Extreme Gear hoverboards that bring back the nostalgia of the Sonic Riders series. Sega has assured a gigantic content list with more than 40 different vehicles, more than 70 distinct gadgets, and more than 1,000 vehicle stickers and parts. The depth is illustrated by the trailer with characters like Cream the Rabbit fine-tuning her racer utilizing several body parts, such as front hoods, rear bumpers, and other wheels. All help in velocity, maneuverability, and speed boost. Hardware plays a role in gameplay as well. The preview showed Knuckles the Echidna doing a Rocket Punch, which can be upgraded to the larger size to win in-game Rings. Similarly, tactic sets like the Air Trick Expert Set, used by Shadow the Hedgehog, allow players to win Rings and achieve speed with flight tricks.
Other customization pieces are available to buy in-game at the garage using “Donpa Tickets” by the player. The trailer revealed a menu of bright color and decal choices, with Sonic illustrating the graphical customization option. Pre-order bonuses include the Werehog pack, which is inspired by Sonic Unleashed. Signing up on Sega’s official website provides access to the legendary Blue Star Extreme Gear from Sonic Riders. Following its release, more content will be added to the character cast special guests such as Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga of Like A Dragon, Joker from Persona 5, and Steve, Alex, and the Creeper from Minecraft to provide players with new experiences.
