Even though the Oblivion Remastered was hugely successful upon release with over 4 Million players along with a ‘very positive’ user review rating on Steam, there’s one aspect of the Remastered that desperately needed improvements since launch and it’s the game’s overall performance which was really uneven and inconsistent throughout on all platforms ranging from traversal hitches to crashes. However, Bethesda is finally bringing a new patch that can make all of the persistent performance issues in the Oblivion Remaster a thing of the past so if you’ve are currently having trouble running the game at a steady 60 FPS, chances are the upcoming patch 1.2 will make all of the performance woes go away.
Besides bringing extensive performance improvements, patch 1.2 will also include tweaks to the game’s ‘Journeyman’ Difficulty mode, tons of fixes for quests and more. However, the patch will be released today in the form of Steam beta and will possibly take a bit of time before it’s launched on all platforms. But overall, patch 1.2 is certainly set to make Oblivion Remaster a lot more polished and smoother in terms of gameplay experience and that’s definitely great news for everyone who’s playing the beloved RPG right now.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered update 1.2 patch notes:
