Ninja Gaiden Ragebound had a massive speedrun event to commemorate that the game launched today. The submission deadline for the runs was on the 24th of this month by using the demo version. Many people participated and enjoyed the experience it provided, especially those who played on PC, the demo was a tough one to crack down, as the people behind the event asked players that they should complete it under a specific set of requirements only the best of gamers could achieve. We at Infinite Start will cover who won, and what the requirements were to enter.
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound Speedrun
To participate in this run, one had to play the demo on the Try Hard mode. This is understandable since that’s where the real deal of the game happens, as the base mode feels like a good training to get down the basics. The game is relentless, as stages change their layout when you play them on a higher difficulty mode, truly feeling like a retro experience of the early days of gaming. It was possible to submit multiple entries, but you also had to ensure your run was at least done in S rank as a whole, with all collectables.
It is crazy that The Game Kitchen basically told people to just do a 100% run, and it also makes sense cause this is Ninja Gaiden after all, one of the hardest series of games ever. As for the prizes, it was mostly access to the game early, via the release of keys for the game, there was no records that seem to have surfaced yet, but whoever won is truly a legend of the game. There’s a Youtube channel for someone who attempted the challenge, and they seem to be on record pace to actually win the competition, perhaps he was one of the winners.
