Limbo and Inside is going to be removed soon, there will be no way to actually own the game. This is due to the fact that the people behind it have been having a quarrel for years now. Back in the day, PC gamers had to experience one of the worst break ups in gaming history and today they keep fighting legal battles over who is the real creator behind both games. Dino Patti and Arnt Jensen are still locked in with each other, trying to dispute who made the game for real, Jensen claiming that Dino wants to erase his involvement from the game. Limbo is on big trouble
Jensen has been developing a third game for a decade now, and unfortunately it seems that the current feud is more important than doing so. Legal battles like this matter however, as it is important to recognize who made what to ensure fair treatment of both parties. The issue because more complicated when both were founders of Playdead, with Dino having left Playdead behind due to a previous conflict. There really isn’t much specifics about this, as it boils down to a situation of “he said that”, it literally is just drama.
It’s sad to see the legacy of Limbo becoming a tarnished one, it truly is a piece of art in the indie space, if we could solve this without fighting it would be nice for both parties involved. Perhaps they can even make up for their past conflict, and they could try to make actually take that third game out of development hell together. But things are unfortunately tough in the gaming world, where everyone is trying to be opportunistic on an unregulated market. I stand with none of the parties involved until more information comes out.
