More games are dying, John Wick Hex is next, we really aren’t sure what’s happening with gaming anymore, other than things are rapidly fading away. There’s no reason given by the developer, nor the reviews, its just gone. Actually by further investigating, the reason the game is going to die is because the license for John Wick has expired, and nobody can sell the game anymore. PC gamers however won’t get stopped by this, as they can still buy it and pirate it before it goes away, the fact that we need to resort to piracy to own things is egregious. We at Infinite Start will keep fighting the ownership war.
John Wick Hex is about to go away
John Wick Hex has been reviewed with mixed reception, some people seem to not like the idea of John Wick being reduced to a strategy game. I personally believe that it can work, as it properly represents the action between thinking and going fast like in the movies. People love high octane games that are easy and make you feel overpowered, but the truth is that those power fantasies end up getting old and samey very fast. Its important to have different types of games to please different types of people.
Variety is the spice of life, and when you remove variety and quirkiness, you remove an important part of the medium. Of course, the termination of this game is due to some legal licenses, nothing too crazy. It is sad to see John Wick Hex go, but in reality it really isn’t going anywhere, people already cracked this one, and even if you don’t buy it now, you can still get it. So if you wanna help the developers, you can buy it before its gone forever, maybe they can find a way to fix their issues.
