Epic Games announces one of the larger partnerships between its mega-popular title Fortnite and streaming superstar Ninja. He will take charge of the popular Blitz Royale game mode on August 2, starting at 4:00 PM ET. This announcement comes at a crucial moment, as fast-paced Blitz Royale was awarded permanent status in the game, thus proving they engage players.
The timing is particularly auspicious because it coincides with some major happenings for the Fortnite community. The players would engage in a live event at 2:30 PM on August 2, the “Super Showdown.” This would be the thrilling climax of Chapter 6 Season 3, paving the way for new Season 4 content and the re-introduction of iconic DC hero Superman. It seems that Epic Games is also going to put together an entire afternoon of content, with the Ninja takeover coming right after these important in-game events.
Adding a unique twist to Blitz Royale, Ninja will be bringing about huge changes, including new weapons and amended gameplay mechanics. There have already been teasers from Ninja about a new skin variant along with some exciting new weapons such as the “Blitz Boss Ninja’s Trash Launcher” and the “Blitz Boss Ninja’s Get Good Shotgun,” promising a fun experience.
In an effort to enhance the whole feel of the Blitz Royale experience, two new modes are set to unlock at 3 PM ET on the same day. “Six Stack” is another new mode that will allow for competitions between teams of six players, adding a different dynamic for those larger group sizes. Simultaneous to that, the “Pure Chaos” mode will task players who are well-seasoned with harder opponents and more siphon mechanics, serving those that wish for a more difficult experience.
For an extra thrilling day, there will be an hour of unlimited Dragon Ball mythics to allow players free reign to blast Kamehameha attacks straight before Ninja’s formal takeover of Blitz Royale. This great blend of new content culminating in partnership with one of gaming’s biggest names has certainly stirred excitement and enthusiasm around Fortnite’s continued evolution.
