Dune Awakening is a success, many people are saying good things about this new live service, too many people in fact, to the point it gets weird. It has come to light that Funcom, company behind Dune Awakening, has been censoring valid criticism, including whatever comes from Youtubers too. While there is some valid things being brought to light, it seems that in the case of Funcom, the best way to go about this is the nuclear one, with a massive EULA against the customer. If they think you are doing something that they don’t like, they can even persecute you outside of the game and take action against you.
Dune Awakening has issues
Most players seem to dislike the lack of content in the game, this is understandable for a live service that is still starting, yet at the same time, it feels like there should have been more things going on for people who advance quickly through the game. Saying something like this can actually get a video down and some negative Steam reviews pushed to the bottom. There’s something weird going on with people being awfully silent about the game, and that’s quite sketchy, as no company should try to censor the opinion of others.
If this post somehow gets into trouble, it is more proof that Funcom is out there trying to silence their clients, this is quite funny considering movements such as Stop Killing Games are massively successful now. If Funcom isn’t careful, maybe they will be the next boost that the petition needs to become even more relevant and break some new goals. The user who was attacked by them has taken down the video, since this is part of their draconian EULA claiming that they can do so, cited on the community post of FireSpark81. Dune Awakening is not worth it as Funcom is anti-consumer.
