Destiny 2 latest expansion is a big flop, it seems that players are unable to find enjoyment in the game anymore. Once they realize that the whole loop was based on being a live service game, many get burnt out. With Stop Killing Games being close to breaking the excess of signatures, a new world of video games lies ahead for all of us, a world that I hope is constituted of a healthier ecosystem where creation beats greed. However, the fires of controversy are at an all time high, we might get our games banned for content credit card companies don’t like. We at Infinite Start will cover these news.
Destiny 2 Latest Expansion flops
Many are claiming that the Edge of Fate expansion is sloppy, in fact, there really isn’t many players joining in anymore. Steam charts prove that the game isn’t doing well on PC, while the data might be biased since it ignores basically other platforms, it is a big tell when numbers are low for a game. Marvel Rivals is also losing steam too, and it seems that plenty of live service titles are starting to have a hard time settling in. This is good however, we don’t want studios like Bungie to keep being what they are, profiting from stolen assets is wrong.
Their newest Marathon game is a disaster, and many think it will be the next Concord. If this happens, it would be a huge financial hit for Sony, that already lost a ton of money when making Concord in the first place. We need to level the industry to start anew, an industry with principles over greed is one we need, so we can go back to the creativity that the 90s held way back. No matter if credit card companies oppose that notion, art cannot be controlled, and nobody, not even Bungie, can steal more of it either.
