Bioshock Director claims Judas is a true old school title without any microtransaction or modern nonsense that has ruined gaming. Ken Levine is surely cooking a banger PC game that might surpass his previous works. We can only hope that this is the beginning for the new retro wave of quality, showing that we don’t need billionaire studios in the market. As more developers leave the big industry to go independent, more quality games start to arise from nothing, similar to the older days of gaming. Judas will be another narrative driven shooter similar to Bioshock and if you are interested, you should wishlist this one.

People are tired of constant live service scams and scummy microtransactions. People is so tired in fact that some are returning to the older eras of gaming thanks to emulation. I myself have been quite stuck playing indies and old games for quite a while, sometimes its even part of my job here, the point is that Ken Levine has realized the need for quality titles that respect the consumer. Judas will be that, a real videogame in the sea of nonsense that the current industry is, if things go right we might see the next game of the year being brewed.
If Expedition 33 can be a massive success, it is my belief that a plot driven shooter can succeed in today’s day and age too. Modernity is a concept pushed by big companies to prevent people from realizing the games we have are already good, nothing really gets “outdated” as there’s no proper standard on how to create things. This sort of vision hampers creativity, and it seems that big studios are doing so with those intentions, its nice to see big names in the industry taking a stance against greed and creating new things that feel like the golden days.
