Ubisoft has just released a Summer Roadmap Update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows detailing all the new contents coming to the Open World action title in the next few months, along with the official release date for Claws of Awaji which is the first Expansion for Shadows. The major new add-on will arrive on September 16 in the form of a paid DLC or if you’ve pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll be able to get it for free.
Claws of Awaji adds a whole new explorable region into the game called the island of Awaji complete with new gears, abilities, outfits, enemies plus 10 hours of new story content which continues the main storyline in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which also means a continuation of both Naoe and Yasuke’s journey after the game. So if you’ve been invested in these characters which many players already are, you’ll most likely want to experience Claws of Awaji to see more of the protagonist duos.
Ubisoft has also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will get a New Game Plus mode on 29th July which is set to add new achievements, trophies and make your new playthroughs of the game a lot more satisfying and fun. This will also raise the level cap in the game from 60 to 80, add more upgrades for all in-game hideout buildings and the ability to upgrade Knowledge ranks to 9 and 10.
The third new Animus Project will also arrive with this update, bringing more free rewards for completing Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ weekly challenges plus modern day lore.
And there’s more as early in September, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive another free update which is set to bring multiple quality of life improvements including the ability to fast-forward the time of day, unfogging of the World map, uncapped framerates during cutscenes and more.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is about to get even bigger and better in a myriad of ways in the coming months, adding more life and replayability to the game for all players.
