WWE 2K25 gets new patch 1.13 along with Heel John Cena as playable character

WWE 2K25 just got even better with developer Visual Concepts releasing Patch 1.13 which addresses multiple bugs in the game’s The Island and Universe game modes while also improving general stability and performance. Plus, the new patch also adds Heel John Cena as a playable character in WWE 2K25 which will help players relive some of the most talked about moments of the year in the game.

And here are all the patch notes for WWE 2K25’s latest update:

General

  • Stability and Performance improvements

Gameplay

  • Addressed reported concerns with some Superstars having incorrect moves assigned
  • Addressed reported concerns with the move Trouble in Paradise not dealing the proper damage

The Island

  • Addressed reported concerns of players’ portraits displaying incorrectly and user portrait becoming corrupted after selecting parts in the Driporium
    • Affected players will need to enter MyBooth and customize their portrait again to remedy this

Universe

  • Addressed reported concerns where the match card could reset after manually editing a match to have a custom rule
  • Addressed reported concerns with the “KO” win condition being reverted in certain scenarios
  • Addressed reported concerns of Custom Superstars being invisible or disappearing during match Promos
  • Addressed reported concerns with Brawl and Underground matches
  • Addressed reported concerns with certain Rivalry Outcomes not being applied to Custom Superstars

WWE 2K25

Besides the myriads of gameplay improvements offered by the latest patch, it’s biggest highlight is easily the addition of heel John Cena into the game’s roster.

The most ambitious entry in the long running series, WWE 2K25 was met with fairly positive reviews upon release with critics praising the numerous gameplay improvements and the overall number of tweaks that was implemented to make it stand out from it’s predecessor. Boasting the largest roster the series has ever seen till date with over 300 Wrestlers, WWE 2K25 also has multiple DLC’s lined up throughout all year to add even more life into the game.
