Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Master Crafted is one hell of a PC game title to say, regardless, it does not really matter cause this is not Master Crafted as the title implies, but Master ruined. Remasters often do unnecessary updates to perfectly fine titles that really don’t need any update. This concerning trend is still active and it has ruined games that were perfectly fine when they released years ago. Remasters feel quite redundant, to the point some people mix them with Remakes, and if I had a coin for each time someone does, I would probably be rich. We at Infinite Start will cover this new flop.
Warhammer used to be cool
Warhammer is still cool, but the handling of many games in the series leaves a lot to be desired. It seems that the majority of companies that take ahold of this franchise end up mauling it beyond recognition, with blunder after blunder. There’s some cases where new games release that are actually quite good, and even Game of the Year contender, but there’s also the other spectrum of releases that are better to not talk about such as this one.
Players report that the game does not even work on the Steam Deck, along with the fact that the only thing this re-release does is increase textures to 4K quality, which actually kills the visual fidelity of the original and interesting art style. Many gamers get obsessed with the idea of doing this, along with running the games above 60 FPS, but the reality is that the majority of games they played since the beginning, were stuck in the 30 to 20 FPS range.
Many are starting to forget the times when games had an unique visual identity to them, and the industry itself is to blame for how things are going, mainly the investors and detached from reality CEOs, who don’t understand what they are doing.
