TRON: Catalyst has a new demo that dropped some days ago on Steam. The game will be releasing in some days from now, and it will be quite the experience to enjoy for those PC gamers who are fans of the TRON franchise. TRON has been a long running franchise for quite a while, and it has bounced ownership through many companies, now being at the hands of Disney for years. There hasn’t been many games in the TRON series, compared to other media, but the ones that are out there are in my opinion, similar to the quality of the movies, not the best but passable. We at Infinite Start will cover this new title.
TRON getting a new game
The game is coming soon, in fact, in around 2 weeks people will be able to enjoy another full fledged game in the series. This is the second game made by Bithell Games, and they seem to really understand the identity of the franchise, pun intended, cause the first game is subtitled “Identity”. This continuity is pretty much a fanfiction allowed by Disney, and fans are often better at handling special series such as TRON since not many executives know what to do with it.
Its neat to see big names being handled by smaller studios, and it seems like that will become a trend soon as months go by. GameKitchen will do a Ninja Gaiden game for example, which is truly surprising considering how legendary that series is. Old media being given to us fans so we can do projects out of it is pretty much a dream come true.
Of course, as long as things are made with love and dedication, even the most divisive franchises like TRON can get a chance to shine, to have a moment to show some sort of brilliance for once.
