One of the most acclaimed titles of last year, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will get it’s first DLC named The Order of Giants on 4th September for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and the PC platform. Briefly teased during yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, the upcoming DLC is all set to add tons of new and exciting contents into the game, basically doubling down on everything you loved about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle such as entire new areas to explore, puzzles to solve and an intriguing mystery to dive into. Check out the trailer below:
From the developers themselves, The Order of Giants will take the players to Rome and is set to feature “stunning new locations, intricate puzzles, terrifying new foes and more”, along with the iconic protagonist doing all he can to “outwit a dangerous cult” while at the same time uncovering “the dark legacy of the Nephilim giants.
“One of the most satisfying parts of developing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was the opportunity to create the Nephilim Order, the secret society of giants formed by descendants of fallen angels working to atone for their ancestral sins,” stated John Jennings, production director of the upcoming DLC.
“That story spans thousands of years and this DLC has given us the opportunity to develop further upon their lore and look at other aspects not covered in the initial story campaign. There’s something new and unexpected to tell here for fans of the game, and we can’t wait for people to be able to play it for themselves.”
Interestingly, it seems like the events of the DLC will be set within the central narrative of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and build upon it in unexpected ways. The storyline of The Order of Giants will start with Indiana Jones speaking to a new character named Father Ricci who’s also seeking a mysterious artifact.
Also, beyond exploring the city of Rome, players will be able to visit new areas such as it’s ancient sewer system, participate in Emperor Nero’s secret gladiator games and finally square off with another secret organization called the Cult of Mithras.
