Summer Games Fest was a massive success that garnered lots of views from console and PC gamers alike. Plenty of people have watched this event, awaiting for massive news on the most popular franchises. Resident Evil also got a new game with Resident Evil Requiem, or as Capcom joked about Resident Evil 9. Meanwhile, the blue bomber Mega Man is stuck in hell without getting any new game release, it truly is sad to be a fan of the franchise. Regardless, plenty of titles were revealed that blew the minds of everyone. We at Infinite Start will cover this massive success.

Summer Games Fest has success

Summer Games Fest attains a viewership that has surpassed even the most popular E3 events of all time. The reason behind this is due to the gentrification of game as a whole, games are reaching a wider public and that can be good and bad at the same time. Good because it provides massive earnings for corporations who want to use the medium as their main income, and bad due to the aforementioned reasons. To appeal to the masses, quality needs to be dropped in favor of mass media appeal and marketing, what was quirky and queer needs to be stripped away, what was original needs to be pruned.

Most outsiders to the medium who are playing nowadays are the same people who complained about video games being weird, and that those who play them are even worse. Unfortunately, much to the like of plenty of mediums, including movies, books and even anime, gentrification affects them all equally. As the medium progresses in this direction, more and more people that now claim we are in the best era of gaming will realize what they liked is disappearing. Then they will wonder what went wrong, and why the quality declined, its been generations since this started happening and it will get worse.
