The fourth entry in the legendary hack-n-slash series, Ninja Gaiden 4 is currently scheduled to arrive on October 20 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. Developed in collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Platinum Games, Ninja Gaiden 4 will feature a whole new character named Yakumo, besides returning protagonist the iconic Ryu Hayabusa.
Yakumo is a member of the Hayabusa Clan’s rivals, the Raven Clan and both of them will fight against hordes of the Dark Dragon, who has turned the city of Tokyo into a state of incessant storm referred to as the Rain of Rot. While there’s a lot of unknowns regarding the story of Ninja Gaiden 4, they seem to be doing a bit of what Capcom did in Devil May Cry 4, with longtime series protagonist Dante and newcomer Nero, who later became more of his own character in the series.
Both editions of the game, the $70 Standard Edition and the $90 Deluxe Edition are currently up for pre-order at multiple online retailers (including both Best Buy and Walmart) and pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4 (both physical and digital copies) will also unlock a special in-game costume named the Dark Dragon Descendant skin for Yakumo.

Both physical and digital versions are available for pre-ordering and it’s important to remember that either the Windows or Xbox version of the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere along with the option to play on the go, via cloud streaming.
