Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is another remaster dropping on PC for an old title that many need to play. It seems to be the usual thing that Bandai Namco does after many years pass, it happened with the Dark Souls series, so expect this to happen with the second installment of Little Nightmares 2 too. Remasters are inevitable, and they exist to provide players the ability to play a modernized and updated version of a game that sometimes needed such treatment. However, it would be cool if someday Bandai Namco could stop delisting the older version of their games, that’s goes against preservation. We at Infinite Start will cover this release.
Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is out
A comparative trailer exists, and it truly shows us how far they have went trying to remaster the visuals of the classic game, its clear that the focus is on the lights and other flair around the scenario, because most of the things remain unchanged. The original Little Nightmares still looks amazing even today, so Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition feels kinda like more of the same, just with a bit of the current technologies slapped on top of it. I miss when games had artistic lighting in them, instead of trying to simulate reality, people could get creative back then even in light distribution.
Regardless, it seems that effort made by a real person was put into this, so its still a commendable thing to do. As mentioned before, Bandai Namco loves delisting older versions of their games, which makes things harder for people who wanted to play the original. I will never forget when they delisted Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition, despite that port being a mess, it still deserved being available for anyone to buy. If things keep going that way, more people will turn to get older versions for free.
