Konami and Bloober Team seem to like each other, enough to actually do another project together it seems. PC gamers have shown a divisive approach to the remake of Silent Hill 2, due to its unfaithful nature and unnecessary changes that cheapen the experience. The majority of people who praised Silent Hill 2 Remake have never experienced the original title, which is quite a shame since its easily one of the best games in the PS2 library. While some might disregard it as rose tinted glasses nostalgia, that term already aged like milk considering how terrible the quality is of remakes in the majority of cases. We at Infinite Start will cover this teaser.
Konami and Bloober Team Up again
Bloober Team is known for just making mass produced horror, its literally their company’s motto. Based on those words, one must infer that whatever they do is just low quality scares to please the lower echelon of tourists who just want to enjoy a quick horror flick. What happened with Silent Hill 2 is quite blasphemous to the original title, yet it still remains the only success coming from Bloober Team.
This shows that they can’t really do original ideas by themselves and need to surf the wave of existing franchises to keep being relevant. It has been confirmed that Konami and Bloober Team are indeed working on a Silent Hill game, and it is in fact the Silent Hill game that started it all. It was a no brainer to do this since the only way to play the original game is emulating it or having a working PS1.
Personally, the fact that they are going to do this worries me about how much they will change the original experience, that feels even immaculate to this day for those who play it. The only way to know what will happen is waiting to see what comes out from the hands of Bloober Team.
