Developer Rogue Factor has recently unveiled the official system requirements of their upcoming third person action adventure title Hell is Us, and it can get really demanding if you want to play the game at it’s highest settings. An Unreal Engine 5 powered title, Hell is Us is expected to offer versatile and deep combat mechanics designed to separate it from the legions of Soulslike action games of recent years while aiming to offer a fresh new spin on the genre and an exciting experience for action enthusiasts.
And to run the game, players will need at least an Intel i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X with 16GB of RAM along with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5600 XT. This spec can get you 1080p/30FPS with Medium Settings in Hell is Us, but you won’t be able to do it without DLSS/FSR, as clearly written by the ““Always Used Upscaling” quote at the bottom of the specs. However, this configuration should be pretty widespread in gaming right now, so no worries there.
The Recommended settings for Hell is Us require an Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti or AMD RX 6750 XT which aims for a 1080p/High Settings with 60FPS experience. This level of graphical horsepower is pretty reasonable for an Unreal 5 powered title though, so it’s not particularly heavy in this day and age either.
And for 1440p/60FPS with Very High Settings, you will need an Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 3090 or an AMD RX 6900 XTX. This is also pretty much expected in the current era of gaming as far as high end settings are concerned.
But for 4K/Ultra settings, the devs recommend nothing less than an NVIDIA RTX 4090 or AMD RX 7900 XTX, moreover, this spec is only for getting 30 FPS in the maximum settings which is pretty dicey as the RTX 4090 is still among the top 3 super high-end graphics cards available and if even that’s not enough for getting 60 FPS in Hell is Us at 4K, this might be yet another case of poor optimization than anything else.
Also, we’ll be able to see a PC demo for the upcoming game soon enough which will provide further insights to the game’s system requirements and how it actually performs on a wide range of hardware.
