One of the most acclaimed Open World RPGs to come out in recent years, CD Projekt RED’s seminal Cyberpunk 2077 is set to get it’s final patch 2.3 on June 26, this confirmation comes from Paweł Sasko, Associate Game Director at CD Projekt via his official Twitter/X account.
“We have been cooking for you in secret for a bit,” was stated in his post, which indicates exciting news for fans and players alike of Cyberpunk 2077 as the game is about to get even better in a number of ways along with the possibility of getting some new contents altogether.
“As usual, I’m taking care of the update personally and we will communicate more, when it’s ready. Much love chooms ?”
The great thing about Cyberpunk 2077’s patches or post-game updates is that they don’t just come with the standard set of bug fixes and other quality of life improvements, the updates also bring entire new contents that enrich the overall gameplay experience in unexpected ways. For example, the previous patch of Cyberpunk 2077 brought lots of new customization options and made Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, appear next to the player character way more frequently, which increased the immersion of the game by a landslide.
And by the sound of the tweet above, the upcoming patch also seems to add some fresh contents into the game, along with the standard set of tweaks and fixes.
In other news of the game, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 which was earlier known as Project Orion, has now entered the pre-production stage of development while the actual game is expected to arrive after 2030 and beyond.
But all eyes are now on CD Projekt RED’s upcoming epic fantasy RPG The Witcher 4 which recently showcased a stunning tech demo featuring several new elements of Unreal Engine 5, all of which will be implemented in the game to make it push new technological boundaries and create a level of realism that’s never been seen in videogames so far.
