Check out all 21 Indie games unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2025

The Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest edition 2025 saw a slew of promising and exciting upcoming indie titles for all platforms that are sure to win the hearts and minds of gamers worldwide. A total of twenty one indie games were announced and each of them presents a mix of refreshingly original gameplay ideas with a boatload of unique artistic expressions. So check out these upcoming indie gems revealed at this year’s Summer Game Fest:

The first one is Snap & Grab which is a high-stakes, high-rewards stylized puzzle adventure game soaked in the tone of the vibrant ’80’s. The indie title is scheduled to be released for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC early next year.

Next up is Big Walk, a co-op multiplayer puzzle game featuring voice chat with unique proximity based communication and a distinctive visual style that will launch sometimes in 2026. After that is Sword of the Sea, which sees players surfing through visually delightful and aesthetically pleasing landscapes on a magical sword that’s slated to release on August 19 on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School let’s players explore a huge campus that also acts as a giant escape room with choke full of environmental storytelling. Next up is Mixtape, a colorful story driven adventure title with a gorgeously unique visual identity that’s slated to release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Soundtrack of Mixtape features prominent artists such as Joy Division, Devo, Smashing Pumpkins, Roxy Music, Iggy Pop, and The Cure.

Then there’s Blighted, which is an isometric action metroidvania featuring a dynamic difficulty system. Up next is Dosu Divas: One Last Meal which blends cooking minigames with turn-based RPG mechanics and is expected to release in early 2026. The next indie title is Possessors which is a metroidvania-inspired brawler set in a parallel fictional world.

Fans of adventure games will find Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault particularly fascinating with it’s unique combat mechanics that’s set to launch later in 2025.

And some of the most exciting among the bunch was Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion which is a 2D beat-’em-up featuring characters like Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk.

Then there’s Please Touch The Artwork which is a ‘spot-the-difference’, psychological title, the ‘slow-burning-horror’ RPG Neverway, heist game Relooted, rhythm-based title Ratatan, multiplayer stealth game Thick as Thieves, 2D side scroller Pocket Boss, unique puzzle title Consume Me, smaller RPG experience Off, puzzle game Tire Boy, Toem 2 and finally the rhythm action game Unbeatable.
