Total Chaos

Total Chaos gets official gameplay trailer in 2025

Total Chaos got a new trailer and its truly looking stunning. PC gamers keep winning, and this game seems to be a potential Game of The Year in the making, provided it drops in an appropriate time of the year. Sometimes, success of a game is determined based on which day it releases, so trying to time it on a slot where big hitters aren’t close seems to be the better strategy. Since nothing can steal the spotlight from it, there’s better chances that it succeeds and gets sold. Of course, making a good game also helps, but a ton of amazing games sadly never got the best sales due to many factors, including release timing.

Total Chaos is brewing mayhem

Total Chaos is a total conversion mod for Doom 2 which by itself sounds crazy as all hell. The mod is a survival horror set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The island was once run by a community of coal miners which one day suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the abandoned concrete jungle to rot in oblivion. The fact that this is made over Doom 2 is insane, of course, its not done on the original engine, but in an open source implementation called GZDoom.

Tons of games, especially shooters, started their life being Doom mods, and it seems that Total Chaos is no different. Using boomer shooters as a base is actually the best way to create unique single player experiences of varied caliber. This indie titles has been in development for quite a while, its first reveal being 2018. After many years of development, it seems that the game decided to become its own thing, and now the developers behind it seek to do something bigger.

Total Chaos is coming soon, and it has the potential of shaking the FPS and horror scene at the same time, provided they manage to pull this right. Trigger Happy Interactive is known to make amazing titles, Turbo Overkill being a great example.
