The Lightkeeper is a new psychological horror game that dropped a trailer on Youtube in this 2025. In my honest opinion, it does not look particularly interesting, however, the team behind this one is quite small. I feel like not many manage to nail the psychological horror aspect without it devolving into some random scare fest. The true king of psychological horror will always be the first two Silent Hill titles, but if this one is pulled well, then many will be happy. This one will drop on PC, while we don’t have a clear date, 2025 doesn’t seem like a bad fit for it. We at Infinite Start will cover it.
The Lightkeeper is coming
Like with every run of the mill psychological horror game, at first, everything seems normal. However as time passes, the situation quickly gives a wrong turn. You are just another Lightkeeper who realizes the horrifying truths behind the deaths of previous keepers coming to light, every passing moment on the island becomes a nightmarish ordeal for Arthur, the character you play as. His traumatic past and fragile mental state only worsen his condition in the isolated and eerie environment.
The atmosphere seems to be pretty well developed, however, the concept behind this one does not call my attention that much personally. The Lightkeeper can still find a niche however, not everyone has to like everything, its not something to expect. Giving coverage to indie titles is honestly quite important, as they lack the power to compete in marketing against the big corporations that take all the marketplaces.
If this one is priced appropriately, then we can assume that many people might give it a go. Of course, it is always important to price it according to the effort you have put into developing it, and from the trailer alone, The Lightkeeper at least nailed the tense environment.
