Project Rustbound might be an amazing upcoming Souls-like

Project Rustbound has the possibility to be a huge PC game. The developers behind it have been working on it for an undisclosed amount of time. It looks stunning, and the specs to run it seem to be very low, this could mean that someone finally nailed optimization in new hardware. Optimization seems to be a lost art that many forget to do, because doing it requires tons of brain power and resources, including time. Everything is rushed nowadays, and it seems that we won’t be getting proper games unless it comes from indie developers. We at Infinite Start will cover this new and exciting title.

Project Rustbound holds secrets

Unmasked Games is cooking a a very cool game. Indie developers are always some of the most creative individuals, and while we don’t know proper details about it, its clear that this might be some sort of Hack and Slash Souls-like title. Provided this is true, it can be an amazing opportunity for a grassroots team to actually take the helm on a popular genre. Unfortunately, much to the like of that happened with Clair Obscur, 99% of the times, the biggest indie titles are made by rich people.

The sad reality is that passion sometimes isn’t enough to cut it in this capitalistic world, and you actually need some money to be able to reach anything. Project Rustbound might perhaps have to be cut down to an approachable scale, but it is clear that the specs of the project are quite unknown for now. Maybe they are a team with money, maybe not, what matters is that new and passionately crafted titles will always triumph over triple A slop that does not matter.

If you do an exercise of trying to remember the best triple A games you played, you will probably find that most of them are old now. This means that the quality of the medium is actually pretty bad currently, but it can be fixed with enough effort.
