Rockstar Games has just released the highly anticipated and long awaited trailer 2 for GTA 6, which has been recently moved to release in May 2026. This trailer launches just around a week after the news of the delay and offers a spectacular glimpse at what’s destined to be the most anticipated videogame of this entire generation, and maybe this entire decade as well. So before any further ado, go check it out here.
First off, the entirety of the trailer is said to be captured on the Playstation 5 as it’s written near the end, which means it’s all running in-engine, real-time and the graphics are easily the most photorealistic you’ll probably see in a good while. As the latest entry in Rockstar’s catalogue, GTA 6 will present the newest version of their RAGE engine which has previously powered Red Dead Redemption 2, a game that still looks stunningly realistic more than 5 years after it’s release. And looking at this new trailer, GTA 6 has already surpassed it in leaps and bounds which means it has just set a whole new bar for videogame visuals in ways that are sure to be talked and written about for months to come.
There are some breathtakingly realistic shots in the trailer which not only look like a generational leap from everything we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of visual realism and fidelity but completely stands in a league of it’s own in the current gen era of videogame graphics.
This is the official description from Rockstar on the synopsis of GTA 6, as written in the description of the new trailer:
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
The trailer also showcases what makes the Rockstar titles stand out from nearly everything else in the videogame industry–the blending of narrative and gameplay in ways that make both of them feel inseparable, much like the protagonists of GTA 6 themselves. In fact, both the narrative and presentation feels like they’re as richly immaculate as that of a top-tier Hollywood film, which is the case for pretty much all GTA games after all.
Then there’s also the gorgeous locations of Vice city, the high-stakes heists, wild car chases, gritty fights along with everything that’s been a staple of the franchise till now.
So knock yourselves out with the new trailer, and when you’ve reached the end of it, get ready to hit the replay button…it’s that awesome.
