GTA 5 Enhanced Gets New Patch, addresses several Graphical and Gameplay issues

Rockstar Games has released the sixth patch for GTA 5 Enhanced on PC which aims to fix multiple visual and gameplay related issues in the souped-up version of GTA 5. In fact both Legacy and the Enhanced version of GTA 5 has received some updates but the majority of the changes and fixes are geared towards improving GTA 5 Enhanced which got severely negative reviews on Steam after release and is currently the lowest rated GTA game ever.

So if you’re currently playing GTA 5 Enhanced, make sure to quickly update your game by getting the patch which is sure to improve the overall experience in a number of ways. Also, the size of this latest patch is between 400 to 900 MB depending on whether you play the game on the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam or Epic Games Store.

Here are all of the Patch notes:

[May 6, 2025] – (PC) 

  • Fixed several issues with Microsoft account communication and privilege settings
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players not receiving in-game phone calls from each other 

[May 6, 2025] – (GTAV Enhanced) 

General

  • Adjusted Lighting Quality setting description to clarify that it only adjusts the quality of shadows from vehicle headlights and enables volumetric lighting effects for some local light sources 
  • Fixed several crashes
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in ropes missing textures in window reflections with ray tracing enabled 
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in trees having stretched textures 
  • Fixed an issue impacting ray tracing performance across Cayo Perico 
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in tire screeching audio not working 
  • Fixed an issue in the Story Mode mission ‘By the Book’ that halted progression when running at extremely high frame rates 
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in active players getting stuck on the loading screen transitioning into Assault on Cayo Perico mode if a player had idled out.

Originally intended to bring the PC version of GTA 5 up to the same technical standards as those of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, the Enhanced edition of GTA 5 has incorporated multiple Ray Tracing-based graphical upgrades into the game, which is sure to breathe new life into Rockstar’s decade-old Open World behemoth.
