Fate has been running for decades now, making TYPE-MOON into one of the biggest doujin circles thanks to its massive success. Tsukihime, while not acquiring as much recognition in the western media thanks to Fate’s popularity, was their pivotal work however. Today it has been announced that we will receive a remastered version of Hollow Ataraxia, and PC fans of the series are hyped up. Fate still remains popular after all these years and TYPE-MOON keeps getting bigger and bigger. Perhaps this will bring enough revenue for another Melty Blood game, who knows. We at Infinite Start will cover these news.
Fate Hollow Ataraxia is coming
There has already been remastered versions for plenty of games in the series, and if you are lost and don’t know where to start then you don’t need to worry. Fate has been running for more than what some gamers lived, and a bunch of content is essentially lost media. Between phone games and gacha that has been lost to time, trying to piece the story behind this series is nigh impossible if you care about that.
This is a problem that the mainline games try to fix right now, but it gets shot down by the fact that the live service titles were also integral. Gacha games, and live service titles are not okay as they can cause terrible continuity problems by removing canonical content from a timeline, degrading quality. Not to mention that trying to preserve games like that is almost impossible, since most of the data is stuck on a private server that only the companies behind it own.
Most of the time, these games are never re-released in any shape or form, this is done to properly promote FOMO, getting people to spend their hard earned cash in things that aren’t even worth it. Anyways, Fate/Hollow Ataraxia being remastered is huge news for the fandom.
