Behaviour Interactive has released the new chapter of Dead by Daylight, Steady Pulse, bringing a new survivor, Orela Rose, to the game’s lineup. It adds a new batch of content to the game, such as events, cosmetic, and a revamped version of The Archives, known as The Rift.
Dead by Daylight features players competing as a killer against survivors. The survivors will work together to try and finish goals, including generator repair and unlocking doors in order to exit, without being caught. Being a live service, Dead by Daylight gets new content updates consistently with fresh additions, including original characters and licensed characters from various sources.
Orela Rose, the new survivor, has medic perks that make her an asset to any team. Her special perks are “Do No Harm,” which speeds up healing and gets more progress on Great Skill Checks to heal other survivors. “Duty of Care” enables her to take a Protection Hit for another survivor and give them a temporary speed bonus. Also, “Rapid Response” enables her to exit a Locker instantly, revealing the Killer’s aura unless she is exhausted.
Orela Rose’s lore makes her more engaging, as the viewer witnesses that she vowed to defend others following the loss of her closest friend in a car accident. As a result of the new survivor’s introduction, Dead by Daylight partnered with Montreal’s CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, a charity supporting pediatric treatment in Sainte-Justine Hospital. Proceeds from both Orela Paramedic skins, which will be on sale from May 6 to May 27, will be contributed to the foundation. There will also be a community activity, details of which will be revealed later.
The new Rift system swaps solo challenges for concurrent quests. The new update also brings new cosmetic items to some survivors and killers, such as Orela Rose, The Ghost Face, The Legion, Yun-Jin, and Gabriel, that will be rolled out from May 6 until May 27.
