Clair Obscur has a funny record sells 3.3 million in 33 days

Clair Obscur, in a funny twist of fate, has sold 3.3 million copies in 33 days. The developers behind it are amused at that fact, I highly doubt the cipher might be that, but if it is then congratulations in winning such the lottery of life. PC gamers have been enjoying an amazing JRPG, while the game does not look like my cup of tea in the graphics department, the gameplay ideas presented are pretty good. The developers even answer development questions and other questions about the game, its truly crazy. This level of connection with your playerbase is what is needed to keep the industry afloat, and while Sandfall Interactive is no indie team, they do what’s right.

Clair Obscur is magic

Considering the game is titled Expedition 33, the number of copies sold is quite the funny coincidence. Things get more ridiculous when this was alleged to happen on day 33 of when this game came out. Still, we have to be wary that this game also contained “AI” slop in it, however, the textures were removed in an update, addressed as removing wrong textures. The usage of “AI” for placeholder purposes in itself is a waste, and some placeholder artists could have been hired to sketch some basic things, even doing something in Paint would have been better.

The more we use this waste of tech, the more resources we will consume, and unfortunately people do not seem to grasp the fact that our planet will only exist once. Some weird people even prefer to burn it all down, after all they won’t be the only ones to go out with this world, they don’t understand consequences. The gaming industry is pretty much the last bastion for creativity, losing it would be catastrophic, but maybe things need a big reset to start iron-fisting some rules to not cease to be as species.
