Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has got some very juicy leaks that show how terrible the game is going to be monetization wise. PC gamers are tired of having to deal with shovelware like this, but Activision won’t stop pumping slop each time it releases something. I swear that publishers are out there ruining every game with their greedy financial decisions lately, and it seems that it will get confirmed yet again if this leak happens to be true. Nobody wants to deal with things like this, and people who plays these sort of games do not know better, they are addicted to microtransactions. We at Infinite Start will shed some light on the matter.
Call of Duty becomes sloppier
Whether we like it or not, it is a fact that the video game industry has suffered some severe drops in quality. Games aren’t what they used to be, and each year that moves further keeps proving the point. There is a big reason why many get stuck playing older live service games, and one of those is that fact that they are already hooked and its hard to take whales out of one. When you keep churning more garbage like this, the gaming landscape ends up being defiled by greed.
Call of Duty’s blatant monetization was the beginning of enshittification, but not many knew about that, the fact became evident too late. EA Games, Activision, and many other companies conspire against us, gamers, in an attempt to normalize the current gaming landscape. Their historic revisionism is sickening, and it truly gives you the urge to learn more about the past of this medium to discover that way back then, this never happened.
People want to play full games, good games, and games made by passionate and skilled people. As long as this system keeps on going however, we will have to fold and start doing the curation work ourselves.
