Tariffs

Tariffs rock the gaming world in 2025, prices worry gamers

Tariffs are insane, and they are rocking every aspect of our lives. Gamers are worried about the recent increase on Nintendo Switch 2 game prices. Costing from 80 to 90 dollars is insane, especially for games that rarely should cost even 60 in the first place. Nintendo has also announced that the current pricing does not take tariffs into account, and they will revise it to update them. This is a guarantee that games will probably cost 100 dollars a pop. It has been predicted that GTA VI will probably cost around 100 dollars, but nobody expected Nintendo to make the greedy move first. We at Infinite Start will discuss this important matter that will change all.

Tariffs will come for you too

It has been reported that delays in acquiring the Switch 2 are happening, and nobody is happy with them. Nintendo is revising the prices, and they will increase them based on the current economical landscape, that is, a world with these tariffs. Computer hardware is joining the lineup of things that are currently on hold, as people are unable to afford many of the necessary pieces to run bloated games on PC.

This makes the Steam Deck a clear winner in price, and due to the fact that it is able to emulate pretty much any game in the market. Still, the situation for gaming is dire, and we don’t know how this can affect quality of development. It was already pretty bad even before tariffs became a thing, but not it will become even worse after this serious incident.

Billionaire companies like Microsoft are still pushing for “AI” in game development, an horrid reality we need to avoid at all costs before the industry reaches a new low. If you are a true gamer, will you keep being trampled by those who hate you, or stand up against your enemy?
