Halo Studios has recently revealed new details regarding the upcoming Operation: Last Stand for Halo Infinite, sparking excitement among fans of the popular first-person shooter. The announcement came ahead of the official reveal scheduled for May 2nd, promising fresh content and updates for the game.
Operation: Last Stand is set to introduce a new linear Firefight playlist called “Battle of the Academy.” This addition will offer players a campaign-like experience, where they advance through zones in a specific sequence, facing increasing difficulty. The playlist is slated to be available on May 6th, suggesting that this date will also mark the beginning of Operation: Last Stand.
In addition to the new playlist, players can anticipate a new Operation Pass with both free and premium reward tracks. A trailer has already teased the inclusion of new Orion armor as a potential reward from the Last Stand Operation Pass. Those who purchased the Forerunner Premium Pass will be able to continue their progress and earn any remaining rewards when Last Stand begins this May. The May 2nd community livestream is expected to reveal further details about the rewards that players can expect from the Last Stand Operation Pass.
The latest operation, Operation: Forerunner, recalls Halo 4 and other past entries in the Halo series. Until the first week of May, players can enjoy various multiplayer modes, including Extraction and Assault modes in Big Team Battle. Big Team Battle offers objective-based game modes with up to 24 players. The Operation also introduced Husky Assault, a tactical mode that combines the objectives of Assault with the randomized weaponry of Husky Raid. Players also have the opportunity to earn Halo 4’s Prefect armor from the free 20-tier Operation Pass.
Halo Infinite continues to evolve, offering both new content and updates. The upcoming Operation: Last Stand is poised to deliver a fresh experience for players, with the new Firefight playlist and a range of unlockable gear and rewards.
