The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon is the new and upcoming entry on the long running Legend of Heroes series coming to PC from the hands of Nihon Falcom. The Legend of Heroes series spans decades of content, going back to even the earliest microcomputers. Dragon Slayer is actually part of this series by proxy and it spawned multiple sub-series, one of them being The Legend of Heroes. Many people might be lost when it comes to knowing which game they should start with, or what lore to read first. We at Infinite Start will remove any uncertainty you can have about the game.
The Legend never dies
This long running series is pretty popular in the land of the rising sun, Japan. Thankfully, not all the installments are particularly linked, and they will usually tell you when they are not. Falcom games are known for their vibrant characters and amazing world building. In fact, YS is a series that is still being lauded to this day for being so advanced and creating so many story telling concepts compared to competitors of its time. If you are playing something made by Falcom, you are usually guaranteed some good storytelling and a stellar soundtrack.
Despite all of this, Falcom has been known to abuse some of its most important workers and contributors. There’s a common Japanese corporate technique where people are just left to do nothing enclosed in a room without windows. Japan usually does not fire you off blatantly, but they always work their way to make you quit, so it can look as if you resigned by your own volition. Many artists at Falcom have suffered the fate of being relocated to positions they don’t like, and there has even been cases of overwork happening too. If you are against any of these practices, there’s always ways to acquire the game for free.
