Overwatch 2 Season 15 Introduces Widowmaker’s Mythic Weapon Skin, Dame Chance

Blizzard has released the Dame Chance Mythic Weapon Skin for Widowmaker in Overwatch 2 as part of the mid-Season 15 update. This marks the fifth Mythic weapon skin in the game, following Reinhardt’s Bound Demon, Ana’s Midnight Sun, Soldier: 76’s Deliverance, and Ashe’s Lead Rose.

The Dame Chance sniper rifle features a unique design, allegedly gifted to Widowmaker by Maximilien, Talon’s financier. Players who unlock it will gain access to a custom weapon model, unique sound effects, and interactive UI elements that evolve based on killstreaks. The skin also comes with an exclusive weapon flourish—where Widowmaker twirls her Grappling Hook—and a kill effect that engulfs enemies in a purple spider web explosion.

How to Unlock the Dame Chance Mythic Skin

The Dame Chance skin can be obtained through the Mythic Shop using Mythic Prisms or by purchasing it outright. Here’s a breakdown of its cost and unlockable tiers:

  • Full Unlock Cost: 80 Mythic Prisms or $40 (includes 20 Battle Pass tier skips).
  • Tier 1 (50 Prisms) – Base skin with custom sound effects and UI elements.
  • Tier 2 (10 Prisms) – Evolving HUD and rifle effects that track killstreaks.
  • Tier 3 (10 Prisms) – Exclusive Grappling Hook flourish animation.
  • Tier 4 (10 Prisms)On-kill spider web explosion effect.

This marks the third Mythic weapon skin for a sniper hero, following Ana and Ashe. With three out of five Mythic weapons belonging to sniper characters, some Overwatch 2 players are hoping Blizzard will expand the feature to other hero types. Hanzo, the last remaining sniper, has yet to receive a Mythic weapon skin, leading to speculation that he could be next in line.

With Overwatch 2’s Mythic Shop system, Blizzard continues to push high-end cosmetics, and Dame Chance is likely to be a must-have for Widowmaker mains looking to customize their experience.
