Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Currently in Steam’s Top 5 All-Time Peaks

Despite it’s rather poor performance across a wide range of available hardware, the recently released Monster Hunter Wilds have managed to reach an astounding 1.38 Million concurrent users on Steam, resulting in the game easily breaking through Steam’s all-time Top 5. As of right now, Monster Hunter Wilds is only behind PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld, and Counter-Strike 2 (which is currently at 1.8 million players).

Capcom’s latest entry in the Monster Hunting series may reach an even higher peak in the near future, though it’s unlikely to match Counter-Strike 2, especially with the game’s less-than-ideal performance issues which have caused Monster Hunter Wilds’ average review score to be at a disappointing 54%, which is shockingly low from it’s predecessor Monster Hunter World which had the average review score of an impressive 89%.

However, if Capcom can provide a few patches to iron out many of the issues so far, it would definitely increase the game’s player numbers even more, as well as boost it’s review scores which is now almost completely centered around it’s crippling performance problems. But in any case, Monster Hunter Wilds has proven itself to be compellingly fun and gripping, which does cement the game as a surefire success in the long run, when most of it’s technical problems are finally fixed which is pretty much a matter of time from now.

In other news of the game, Monster Hunter Wilds features micro-transactions in the form of Character Edit Vouchers which makes extensive edits for your created character requiring a purchase costing anything from $6.99 (for the standard three-pack voucher) to $9.99. This means players should be more thoughtful when creating and designing their playable characters for the first time as making extensive edits at a later point can cost them in terms of real world currency.

Needless to say, the voucher system is pretty divisive among the players of the game, to the point that some PC users have found ways around it with the help of several mods.
