Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Drops New March 2025 Update

Treyarch Studios and Raven Software have released a new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone that introduces big-impact bug fixes, weapon balance changes, and stability updates. The update also prolongs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) Event Pass to March 20 at 10 AM PT, giving players more time to collect rewards. In addition, Black Ops 6‘s Gunsmith, Multiplayer, and Zombies have been adjusted, while Warzone sees weapon balance updates, specifically for Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 weapons.

Major Points of the March Update

  • TMNT Event Pass is now live through March 20 at 10 AM PT.
  • Weapon adjustments, including a buff to the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades for improved performance.
  • Zombies patches, resolving issues with The Guardian boss and LMG overheating.
  • Warzone balance adjustments, affecting movement speed for some melee weapons.
  • Multiplayer patches, fixing issues with perks, maps, and challenges.

Weapon and Gameplay Adjustments

Multiplayer & Zombies

The D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades were overhauled to be more effective, now dealing 100 damage per hit while reducing fire rate and projectile velocity.

Ricochet Blades Adjustments:

  • Damage increased from 75 to 100 (for instant kills).
  • Fire rate and projectile velocity reduced for balance.
  • Enhanced bounce physics for improved trajectory precision.

Zombies Mode Fixes

  • Fixed The Guardian boss in Citadelle des Morts from being able to dodge Dying Wish, leading to unfair instant downs.
  • Fixed an issue where LMGs with Belt Fed Magazines did not show an overheat meter.

Warzone Weapon Balance Updates

  • SMGs: Reduced sprint speed gains for some Superi 46 attachments.
  • Melee Weapons: Modern Warfare 2 & 3 melee weapons now match Black Ops 6‘s Tactical Sprint speed.
  • D1.3 Sector Special Weapon: Ricochet Blades adjustments now applied in Warzone as well.

Fixes & UI Enhancements

  • Gunsmith is now available in-game.
  • Bullet map: Sliding doors no longer open when fired at close range.
  • Tracker Perk: Unintended enemy outline effect removed when ADS pinging.
  • UI Enhancements:
    • Tracked and Near-Completion Challenges are now listed and sorted by completion percentage.

A Step Towards Stability Ahead of Season 3

The update follows Call of Duty experiencing player count drops due to ongoing gameplay issues. With Season 3 set to introduce significant content, including the long-awaited return of Verdansk in Warzone, these stability patches aim to refine the current experience. Players can now expect a smoother, more balanced gameplay environment leading up to the next major seasonal update.
