Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Feature Improved Photo Mode

Ubisoft officially confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will release with a Photo Mode, through which players can carry their most precious in-game memory with improved customizability features. The mode has been highly appreciated in the earlier Assassin’s Creed titles, and the introduction of Shadows will likely be the largest draw for photography enthusiasts in the game.

New Photo Mode Features

The Photo Mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows has some improvement over its previous versions. The players will have the ability to make use of:

  • A new user interface for an enhanced experience
  • More aperture and focal length capabilities for their photos to turn out perfectly
  • New FX filters, stickers, and personalizations
  • In-game tutorials to help new players to make use of the mode correctly

Ubisoft also requested that gamers share their best screenshot photos on social media under the hashtag of #ACPhotoMode and #AssassinsCreedShadows once the game releases.

Release Date, Platforms, and Performance Details

The release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place on March 20, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Ubisoft made the announcement formally regarding PS5 Pro support in the game with the three following graphic settings:

  • Performance Mode – Streams up boosted frame rates
  • Fidelity Mode – Prioritizes improved graphics
  • Balanced Mode – A compromise between graphics and performance
  • The game will occupy 123GB of storage, one of the largest in the series.

A Long-Awaited Assassin’s Creed Title

Set in feudal Japan, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have twin main characters Yasuke, a brute warrior with up-close combat skill, Android Naoe, an assassin with stealth skills. Players will be able to shift between the duo to gain exclusive gameplay mechanics.

Despite previous flops and worry regarding Ubisoft’s financial health, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is one of the highly anticipated titles in 2025. Preloads are out, and the fanbase waits for a dip into the world of the game as well as for its upgraded Photo Mode.
