Some while ago, Nvidia decided that scamming off their costumers was the right way to go. Now, AMD delivers a decisive blow amidst the current GPU war that is brewing in the PC scene. The decade of 2020 is a very wild one when it comes to acquiring proper upgrades for your rig. The pandemic increased demand of these valuable components, and the crypto bros also played a big part on the scarcity of them. Now with the rise of the AI bubble, Nvidia is trying to bank very hard on selling shovels to the participants of the current fad. We at Infinite Start will cover what happened in the PC war trenches.
AMD delivers a checkmate
AMD has always been known as the company that never misses a chance to miss a chance. However, it does seem that the red giant has decided to awaken for once, by putting reasonable prices compared to the competition. The new RX 9000 series is ready to take the world by storm with ultimate performance and cards that don’t melt. AMD has always been the underdog in this situation, always being constrained by the attempt of monopolization of Nvidia. They always had multiple chances to put the green greed in its place but they always opted not to.
After major issues with how Nvidia handled things, it would have been silly that AMD didn’t wish to capitalize. The new 9000 comes at an affordable pricing, starting with $549 on the weakest models that still pack a punch. But the biggest winner is the XT variant, price cutting Nvidia’s tech by a whooping $100 or more dollars in price. This has been one of the biggest comebacks in PC history, and it seems that it will get better. It does not matter if you control 90% of market share, what matters is the quality you can provide.
