AJB Games Studio has dropped Uncursed yesterday on PC without a proper announcement. This new indie experience will provide us yet another horror game added to the fray. It was many years ago that indies were predominantly horror titles made with RPG Maker engines. It seems that the horror trend has never left, and now its taking shape into more complex yet, one can’t help but feel something is missing. Remove the Curse
You play as Alex, as he tries to uncover the truth of what happened to his grandmother, after not receiving calls from her anymore. He sets into her house, only to discover that it has been twisted in some unspoken way. Uncursed is primarily a psychological horror title with emphasis on story telling. Story moves forward the more you explore the house, uncovering bits of lore scattered all around it. However, one must not forget the fact that the place is pretty much cursed. However, Alex does not realize that maybe he must get ready to actually escape this place instead of delving further.
As it is said, curiosity kills the cat, so your objective is to avoid meeting the same fate and repeating the tale. The game is on a first person perspective, and it is clear that this is yet another puzzle horror game with 3d graphics. Uncursed does not particularly seem to offer that much, but the atmosphere of the place is actually quite unsettling and not many nail that down.
