Microsoft’s Muse, an “AI” that steals gameplay videos

Microsoft is the lord of making subpar products that nobody really wants. With the death of Xbox and everything good related to it, Microsoft is going into grifter territory. That’s right, Microsoft is finally jumping into the “AI” slop train with Muse. Muse is another disruptive technology added to the fray, and now its coming for our videos. Microsoft, in their wise moments, decided that its better to offload the process of creativity to a thing without soul. We at Infinite Start will cover this new Microsoft scam.

This “Muse” is a low quality mime

And honestly, even low quality mimes are actually better than whatever generated artificially. Muse is merely a video scrapping tool that tries to generate “gameplay ideas” for those totally uninspired CEOs who don’t understand the medium. Anyone who has been long enough in the space would know that this is beyond ridiculous. The triple A industry is currently suffering one of its worst slumps ever, and the idea they have? Make it worse it seems.

People will and are still creating art as we speak, indie developers are passionate enough to keep moving this medium forward. As long as executives keep churning trendy slop, they will never succeed and much less be remembered. Concord is possibly the new E.T. of this era although we aren’t sure if we will find copies of it buried in a desert. As more triple A slops keeps failing, more people lose interest in gaming. The future for games does not look good at all if we have to rely on what triple A people do.

The enshitification of the medium happens because nerds who made things for nerds were displaced. Nowadays, it is corporate suits producing subpar slop for people without media literacy to consume and be happy with. Since those people aren’t educated about the past, they will often claim this slop is good. By doing this, corporations can dictate what consumers should buy, and today, they are trying to push these “AI” slop jobs. Will you join the fight for quality?
