With only a few weeks before release, Capcom has launched a new PC Benchmark tool for Monster Hunter Wilds, which will help players to gauge their systems against the technical demands of the upcoming Action RPG. The devs have also made adjustments to the game’s earlier official system requirements and slightly lowered the specs for baseline configurations for playing Monster Hunter Wilds at 1080p with 60 frames per second (with Frame Generation enabled). So if you are looking forward to play the game on PC, this is something you definitely need to check out.

Announced during the recent Capcom Spotlight event, the PC Benchmark tool is currently live on the game’s official Steam page for downloading. Once started, the tool will compile some shader operations and is pretty easy to run and check for what kind of performances you can expect from the various visual quality settings in the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds

The previous system requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds was a bit hefty, with the game requiring an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT graphics card along with an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU for getting 1080p and 60 FPS (with Frame Generation enabled). While the new and updated system requirements, as listed on the game’s official website, are a bit lower and definitely a lot more reasonable.

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit required) / Windows 11 (64-bit required)

Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Memory: 16 GB

Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM)

Storage: 75 GB (SSD required)

It’s great to see the Processor requirements lowered which gives a lot more PC users chance to run the game at fairly decent visual settings. Of course it goes without saying that if you want to experience Monster Hunter Wilds at it’s full Ray-Traced glory, you’ll absolutely need a ‘Beastly’ gaming PC in every sense of the word.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to arrive for the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform on February 28.
