Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Exciting Update for Saurian Companion in Version 5.5

Genshin Impact players are in for a treat in the upcoming Version 5.5 update, as a recent leak reveals that the beloved Saurian companion will be available to place in the Serenitea Pot. This leak, shared by prominent leaker HomDGCat, suggests that the Saurian will be a permanent companion for players following the completion of its quest series, which is rumored to conclude in this new update.

The Saurian Companion Quest Series

First introduced in Version 5.0, the Saurian companion has captured the hearts of many players. Known as Lil’ Buddy or the Tepetlisaur, this adorable creature was part of the Natlan’s Saurian Pet World Quest Series, where players embarked on a mission to heal the Saurian after it was injured in a volcano. As players completed the questline, they even had the opportunity to name their new companion.

What’s New in Version 5.5

According to leaks, Version 5.5 will bring the quest series to a close, likely revealing more about the companion’s role in the world of Teyvat. Players will also be able to place their Saurian companion in the Serenitea Pot, a feature that would allow players to interact with their pet in a personalized space. While details on how this will work are scarce, it’s possible that the said companion will interact in a similar way to other invited characters, offering dialogues and new interactions.

Furthermore, the update may involve a ritual to help the companion, with players visiting a new volcanic area. Fans are eagerly awaiting a possible encounter with a mysterious dragon sage, hinted at during the Ochkanatlan quest, which might be the key to unlocking further parts of the Saurian’s story.

Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Expectations

Version 5.5 is expected to arrive on March 26, 2025, bringing with it new content like the introduction of the 5-star character Varesa and the highly anticipated 4-star character Iansan. Leaks have also hinted at reruns for popular characters like Venti, Xilonen, and Xianyun. Fans will have plenty to look forward to as they dive back into the world of Genshin Impact.
