Black Hawk Down will launch on February 21. The eagerly anticipated campaign DLC based on real-world events and the 2001 Ridley Scott film will at last provide a stand-alone experience for the free-to-play shooter. While the base game has been well received since its December 2024 release, many players have been eagerly anticipating the immersive campaign teased in the game’s initial reveal.
Black Hawk Down Campaign Arrives This Month
Initially set to become available as part of the base game, Black Hawk Down was pushed back after the release of Delta Force. Team Jade promised fans the campaign would be launched during Season Starfall, which started on January 18, however no specific date was provided—until now.
The confirmation came via a 30-second teaser uploaded to the official Delta Force YouTube channel on February 10. By trailer, Black Hawk Down will provide high-intensity story-driven gameplay that is an accurate reflection of the motivating events that led to the 2003 game and the film. It’s also anticipated to provide a more cinematic and immersive experience than what is currently offered by Delta Force (i.e., their current multiplayer product).
Unanswered Questions About the DLC
One major detail still unknown is the DLC’s price. While Team Jade has confirmed that Black Hawk Down will not be free, the studio has yet to reveal how much it will cost. As Delta Force is currently offered as a free-to-play game with optional cosmetic purchases, there is none for pricing campaign content.
What This Means for Delta Force
Those seeking to play through the single-player element of the game, with the DLC close on the horizon, do not need to wait long. Regardless of the price, those who are attracted by the Delta Force free multiplayer have much to look forward to as the release draws closer.
