Seems like Ubisoft is on a constant chicken race to get achievements done for decade old titles. Now its the turn of Assassin’s Creed Liberation to receive this unexpected treatment on PC. One can’t help to wonder why is Ubisoft doing all of this, but with all the blunder they have been having, maybe its due to that. Ubisoft has been very sloppy lately, mainly trying to cash in on the Live Service fad with Apex Legends. We at Infinite Start will cover the changes added to the game.
Better late than never
Perhaps this is a way to apologize to the fans for terrible decisions taken in the past. But we are talking about Ubisoft, they could care less. Their most popular title, Apex Legends, is a Live Service game that uses privacy invasion techniques under the guise of an innocent anti cheat system. Not to mention the aggressive policy they have by forcing micro transactions in all of their games. It is important to not trust Ubisoft anymore.
Regardless of this, the company has been rushing through its catalogue of games, adding achievements to older titles. It was always a surprise to see many of the games published on Steam not having achievement support. After literal decades of this not being a thing, it seems that the company decided to try and add them for once. After the useless push of their Ubisoft platform, it seems like they decided to settle for the more popular Steam service.
It is also important to know that users do not own the games they buy on digital platforms. This is a crucial violation that has been happening in the industry for far too long, and it risks users from having ownership of what they buy.
