Visual Concepts, 2K and WWE have just revealed tons of new information about the upcoming WWE 2K25, which include the game’s new Cover Art, new Showcase mode, a whole new Open World mode similar to NBA 2K’s The City, new match types, it’s massive roster and more.

First off, Roman Reigns is unveiled as the cover star in WWE 2K25, which also marks him as the second WWE Superstar besides John Cena to become the cover in the long running WWE 2K series of games more than once. The cover art itself is also revealed to be the exact same as the one speculated for a while, including Roman Reigns himself as the star.

WWE 2K25...

WWE 2K25 is also coming in three different editions with the game’s Standard Edition launching on March 14, a ‘Deadman Edition’ which focuses on celebrating the 35th anniversary of The Undertaker and the ‘Bloodline Edition’ which features both Roman Reigns’ and Solo Sikoa’s factions in the game with both editions giving players access to WWE 2K25 a week early on March 7.

You can also Pre-order WWE 2K25 at Amazon right now which also includes 5 bonus Wrestlers for the game’s MyFaction mode.

The new Showcase mode will also feature the story of The Bloodline which includes the Samoan wrestling family dynasty along with their blood relatives and “adopted” family members. This year’s Showcase mode will also be hosted by Paul Heyman and Reigns’ “Wiseman,” covering iconic Wrestlers from both past and present such as Roman Reigns, The Rock, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and more.

Another highlight of WWE 2K25 is the new Open World social multiplayer space named ‘The Island’ where gamers can take on new challenges, compete with each other on ‘live events’ and more, all while taking their own custom character created through the game’s MySuperstar mode. This new mode is also reportedly similar to The City feature that’s present in NBA 2K and will only be playable on the current-gen consoles. The devs plan to reveal more information on this new mode as the game nears it’s release window so stay tuned for more news regarding WWE 2K25’s The Island.

This year’s WWE 2K title also brings several new match types to the franchise such as Bloodline rules matches which is a combination of both WarGames and hardcore matches and features multiple aspects of those two different match types. Then there’s also the Intergender matches which is a first time for the series that pits both men and women Superstars against each other.

Yet another new highlight in the game is it’s massive roster which is the largest one ever seen in the series and includes over 300 official WWE Superstars, it’s safe to say that both newcomers and longtime fans will find plenty to love in the upcoming WWE 2K25.

Overall, the newest installment in the iconic WWE 2K series definitely seems to be the most ambitious game in the franchise and will possibly set a new bar in it’s genre.
