Developer Rocksteady Studios has released the Season 4, Episode 8 update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League which is set to be the final major content update for the Live Service title. Besides the game’s usual additions (including some exotic weapons and a new Infamy set based on the super-villain Libra), the Final update also features a promised Offline mode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, along with the official ending that’s supposed to wrap up it’s 2 year-long and controversial story in a true-to-it’s-comicbook-roots sort of way. The update is now available to download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

After the game had received mixed reviews from both critics and players alike, Developer Rocksteady announced it would be ending support for the game on January 14 which is the release date of the game’s final content update.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

The biggest feature of the final update is the Offline mode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League which allows the players to continue playing the game (including both the main story campaign along with all the released seasonal content) even without an internet connection, and is definitely welcome for anyone who enjoys playing it. The Offline mode was first announced in December 2023 as part of developer Rocksteady’s post-launch offerings for the game but as they were committed to several DLC’s as well as other playable characters at that time, it got pushed back to be released with the game’s final update instead.

Also, Rocksteady has announced that the online features of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will continue to be available, so players can still enjoy the game with their friends.

While the game is largely seen in an overly negative light, it’s reported to contain some occasional ‘flashes of greatness’ too, though the overall experience is massively held down by it’s sub-par story along with excessive busy work that feels like a chore and mostly uninteresting loots.
