Marvel Rivals has announced the debut of Malice, the first skin for Invisible Woman, set to arrive with the launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls on January 10. The skin showcases a darker and more sinister side of the character, drawing inspiration from her comic book counterpart.
Malice Skin Details
NetEase Games posted a clip revealing the Malice skin, which offers a striking look for Invisible Woman. The costume features black leather with red accents, spiked details on her mask, shoulders, and thigh-high boots, and a split red cape running down her back. This cosmetic highlights the character’s dark transformation, much like Mister Fantastic’s Maker skin introduced earlier in the game.
In the comics, Malice is the manifestation of Sue Storm’s dark side, leading to villainous behavior and conflict with her family. After an internal battle, Sue ultimately merges with Malice, later finding a way to purge her entirely. Fans have expressed excitement over this deep-cut reference making its way into the game.
Invisible Woman’s abilities were showcased in a recent gameplay trailer. As a Strategist in Marvel Rivals, she can:
- Heal allies with her primary attack.
- Provide a forward-facing shield to teammates.
- Create a healing zone with her ultimate ability, which also makes the area invisible.
- Use an ability that knocks back foes by creating a tunnel.
Season 1 will also bring new maps, a fresh game mode, and an expansive battle pass, offering players even more ways to engage with the game.
Developers have confirmed that each season will last approximately three months, with a major update planned six to seven weeks into the season. These updates will introduce new characters, maps, and balance changes.
While Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic will be available at launch, players will need to wait for the mid-season update to unlock Human Torch and The Thing.
